Creamy Cilantro Turkey and Veal Meatballs

Introduction:

Get ready to impress your taste buds with these mouthwatering Cilantro Turkey and Veal Meatballs!

This recipe is all about bringing together the best of both worlds: the richness of veal and the lightness of turkey, combined into one delicious bite.

We start by finely chopping a bunch of fresh cilantro and a few cloves of garlic – these two power ingredients will give the meatballs their incredible flavor.

Mix them into half a kilo each of ground veal and turkey, and season with salt and your favorite spices to taste.

After forming these little flavor bombs, we give them a quick sear in a hot skillet, creating a beautiful golden crust.

But we don’t stop there! The meatballs are then bathed in a luscious sour cream sauce and baked to perfection, resulting in a dish that’s creamy, comforting, and oh-so-satisfying.

Serve these meatballs with your favorite sides for a meal that’s sure to please everyone at the table.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g (1.1 lbs) ground veal
  • 500 g (1.1 lbs) ground turkey
  • 1 bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Spices of your choice (e.g., black pepper, paprika, cumin)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground veal and turkey.
  3. Add the finely chopped cilantro and garlic to the meat mixture. Sprinkle in the salt and your preferred spices, then mix everything together until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a walnut.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook until they’re browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking dish.
  7. Pour the sour cream over the meatballs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  8. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are fully cooked and the sour cream sauce is bubbling and slightly thickened.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Serve the meatballs with your favorite side dish, such as rice, potatoes, or a fresh salad.
